The Donsviere
A Dyson Sphere approximately 550 million times the surface area of Earth. AKA “The Dawn Sphere”.
Structure
Dyson sphere is around one star. The layers are as follows: The Inner Surface (which generally housing the Angelic Host, and includes the immediate underground) The Inner Surface was built as a paradise, a naive recreation of a roughly Judeo-Christian afterlife. The Angels were the first successful New-Bio creature that had a truly bespoke genome and they were made to serve mankind. That didn’t work out so well…
The Innerdark (which generally contains the Demonic Host), was a massive layer miles deep between the Ring and the Inner Surface designed as a buffer in case bad things happened with the new creation of angels. Instead it became a hiding place for Angels who no longer wished to serve their human masters. Many angels took on a terrifying aspect as a means of instilling fear and engaged in guerrilla tactics, launching raids on the Inner Surface until most of mankind fled back to the Ring.
The Ring (which is the actual massive structure/ship in roughly the center of the sphere layers (Fun Fact: Valyr’s “Superling Tower” leads here.) After the first uprising, the humans sealed themselves back in the Ring (Also called the Dawn Sphere which over many centuries was bastardized to Donsviere). They knew that taking back the Inner Surface was a nearly impossible undertaking as the Angels and Devils (really just a matter of nomenclature and appearance) had exhibited great fecundity in the intervening decades. The humans, not great about the who le “learning from their mistakes” thing, decided to turn their attention to the other side of their world, the side which faced the great darkness of the universe. Through amazing feats of engineering they invented the Old Gods (far more than are known in Menagerum) to help them establish and maintain the Outer Surface and its Playground Worlds. Far too many genetic experiments later…
The Underdark (the layer above the Ring)
The Outer Surface (Which hosts countless themed world zones including Valyr, Menagerum, Metrocity (the VR Divers metaworld), and most of the Playground Worlds.
